Ways we work

Three ways to work with what happened

Most people start with conversation and add another way later, if they want to. All of them are one to one, with me, and by video if you are in Montana.

  • Trauma therapy

Talk therapy for adults carrying childhood trauma, paced so you stay steady. We begin with the present.

  • EMDR therapy

A structured method that pairs eye movements or taps with a memory you choose, without telling the story in detail.

    About EMDR
  • Somatic therapy

Conversation that includes breath, posture and sensation, seated, clothed, with no touch.

Questions about the ways we work

Which one should I start with?

Usually conversation. We'll talk about what you want and what feels possible, and you choose. You can add EMDR or body-based work later, or never.

Do I have to do EMDR?

No. It's one option among others, and I explain it before you decide.

Do you see couples or families?

No. I see adults one at a time. I can suggest colleagues for couples and family work.

Not sure where to start?

Write to me and say so. We'll sort it out together in the first session.
